Who This Course Is For

This course is for students preparing to study Law at undergraduate level in the UK who want to arrive confident, academically prepared, and ready to thrive—both in and beyond the classroom.

Course Delivery

Live, expert-led group tuition: 3 hours per day, Monday to Friday plus one hour per week of one to one tuition.

Duration: 6 weeks

Hours per week: 15 hours of group study + 1 hour of one-to-one tuition

All students must have already achieved the required IELTS score for university entry, or be very close to it.

Week 1: Moving to the UK to Study Law

Introduction to university academic and social life; university administration and key locations; meeting lecturers and friends; polite and formal English; social norms, slang, and UK cultural understanding.

Week 2: What is a Legal System?

Introduction to sources of law; understanding Common Law versus Civil Law systems; legal vocabulary; use of passive voice; formal structures in legal writing.

Week 3: The English Legal System

Court structures in England; roles within the legal profession; principles of the Rule of Law; developing presentation and summarising skills.

Week 4: Different Areas of Law

Overview of major fields of law (criminal, contract, tort, etc.); developing complex sentence structures and formal academic style.

Week 5: Argument and Debate

Building reasoning and persuasive skills; structuring argumentative essays; linking ideas; writing on controversial legal or political topics.

Week 6: Academic Legal Writing Review

Academic essay writing; referencing, critique, cohesion, and critical analysis; mastering phrasal verbs and advanced vocabulary.
